Hello, Iām Joshua, the creator of SpellingTiles. When I was younger, I struggled with spelling. I had to seek help from multiple tutors who used various activities to assist me in improving my spelling skills. Many years later, after my tutoring experience, my mother decided to establish her own tutoring business focused on helping children who struggle with reading and spelling.
In 2020, when COVID-19 arrived in Australia, many Australians transitioned to online learning, including my mother. She had to adapt to digital tutoring which was very difficult. During this time, I noticed that there were very few tools available to support online tutoring and as a result, I developed a very rough version of SpellingTiles, which allowed very basic word manipulation. It proved to be incredibly useful, which was super amazing, leading to me constantly tweaking and adding features to make SpellingTiles better.ā

Since 2020, SpellingTiles has undergone adjustments and modifications, making it highly flexible for may use cases. Upon returning to in-person tutoring, my mother has used SpellingTiles with many of her students and it had significantly reduced prep time and offered adaptability for multiple activities. SpellingTiles now has a website, allowing anyone across Australia to access our program. I am hoping to continuously work on SpellingTiles and to create more features in the future.

SpellingTiles isn’t an official app however, is online web based project which I decided to make as a little hobby to help others. To allow SpellingTiles to be maintained I have had to setup advertisements as well as an optional membership to remove ads to allow the website to stay up and to allow me to continue maintaining SpellingTiles to make it better!
